we went to maldives in july 2008, during the return trip, we made a stop over male and visited its fish market. i saw a lot of interesting things during that visit.
from upper left photo, u can see many boats. from them, i understand how fishery is so important to the economy of the country.
from upper right photo, i can see a very big fish. many people like me came closer to have a look. we were all impressed by its huge size.
lower 2 photos, u can see the fishes were arranged in a systematic way for display, nice to have chance to take photos on them.
tourism in maldives is becoming more and more important but the country's major income is still from fishery....................................................................................gunwai
