beijing hutong

it is nice and beautiful.
compare with the skyline view of a city, hutong gives us another angle to see the city. i lived in beijing before but my family is not beijing in origin so i have no chance to live in hutong. my aunt lived in hutong before and i stayed at her home for a short period of time. i know in hk, people are now promoting how good the hutong is but in reality it is not as good as we imagine. as i remember my aunt home had no toilet inside her house, i needed to walk for a distance to reach a public toilet which is a very old fashioned way. in fact, the term hutong was first mentioned several hundred years ago in yuan dynasty.............................gunwai
